One Year Ago: “Phoenix Oregon” Summer Tour Began

Previous ... Next

One year ago today, we had just arrived in Newport, Oregon for the first night of our ten week Phoenix, Oregon national screening tour.

Gary, Flannery, Luis, Ben, Kim, Tara, Daniel and I piled into two RVs for a cross-country road trip to bring the film directly to audiences.

It was the trip of a lifetime.

Most importantly for the release, we met theaters owners and their loyal audiences and discovered how important it is for filmmakers to develop relationships and partnerships with curators — those who nurture and grow audiences.

Never in a million years could we have imagined where we’d be now, in the midst of a pandemic, but still leveraging the relationships and lessons learned on tour.
